MITSUBISHI Recalls the SHOGUN SPORT (Jun 2007)
Steering control may be lost
MITSUBISHI announced a problem with the SHOGUN SPORT affecting a total of 2,894 vehicles.
When used regularly in severe off road conditions the ball joint of the pitman arm may break, resulting in loss of steering control. Vehicles built from 1/1/1997 to 12/31/2001 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a modified pitman arm, if this has not already been accomplished following a previous intervention.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should contact your nearest MITSUBISHI dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its repair if necessary.
